Now: Amazon of Black Sparta which I will refer to as MINO which means “our mothers” in Fon language will be my statement of reference to the so called “Amazons of Black Sparta” .
Despite the fact of confusion
On the other hand, there are notable differences. The MINO never rode horses or any other animal.
Instead of bows, spears and axes, the MINO main weapons were muskets, clubs and machetes predominantly brought by European explorers. The rarely used shields and their breast were intact. They were vowed to celibacy and did not produce their own replacements. Page 11. Amazons of ancient Greece lived by themselves. Page 11
For procreation they took two months off every year to couple with men of a neighboring tribe, at random and in the dark. Only women who had killed a man in battle could give up their virginity. Page6.

The MINO lived in royal palaces, not off somewhere autonomously; they fought in a male majority. Though they had their own officers, MINO were ultimately ruled by men. They were, in fact, completely devoted to their king, and would die for him – which they often did. PAGE 12.
CHAPTER ONE
WHAT IS ARTISTIC RESEARCH?

The phrase "art as research” seems not to be quite accurate, because it is not the art, which evolves into research but rather, it seems like it is research that becomes artistic - so it should be rather named "Research as Art", with the central question: When is Research Art?

At what times, in which phase can research be artistic? Could it be in the methods?
Such as searching, archiving, collecting, interpreting and explaining, modelling, experimentation and intervening?
Or rather could it be in the motivation or the inspiration?
Is it a reflection, a discussion, in the formulation of a research questions?
Could research become artistic through the conception and composition, through the implementation, the publication, the evaluation, or simply the manner of discourse?

At what stage does the reflection of artistic research take place?
Maybe in order to carry artistic research, the artistic experience is mandatory?

What does it mean to collaborate and engage in social dialogue?

It means to work jointly on an activity or project.

It means,
to create a dialogue an exchange and as well as a discourse.
Dialogues opens rooms for change and improvement.
It opens rooms for transformation and alteration.
Social dialogues make room for metamorphosis.

the ‘Only scholarly work that has been written about the Women Warriors of Dahomey. The only thoroughly documented Amazons in world history: Amazon of Black Sparta.’
A title I actually believe needs to be reviewed from a rather, there I say, West African point of view. The Women Warriors of Dahomey are too often confused by Amazonians – of ancient Greece. I consider being a myth what “The Greeks called them “amazons”, meaning literally “without a breast”. Page 4. Greek stories about the amazons of Asia Minor vary with each telling, but a rough consensus emerges.

1. Two Scythian princes were expelled from their homeland north of the black sea with their families and followers and migrated to the Caucasus region.
2. They subdued and oppressed local peoples, who rebelled and slew all the males.
3. The Scythian women took up arms, successfully defended themselves, and formed a manless, militaristic nation.

4. At the river’s mouth they built their capital, Themiscyra.” Page5
